Up by only two at the break, 35-33, CSUDH (2-2, 2-0 CCAA) outscored Sonoma by twenty points in the second half paced by Bailey and freshman guard Jessica Liang (Alhambra, CA/Mark Keppel HS) who drained three 3-point baskets in the second half, finishing with 11 points on the night.

The Toros built a nine point lead after the first six minutes of the second half, 54-45, after Bailey hit a jumper inside the paint with 14:22 left. The Seawolves would cut the lead down to 56-50 after a long-range make by Jessica Jennings with 12:52 remaining. But Liang would hit back-to-back treys in the next two CSUDH possessions to give the Toros a double-digit lead, 62-50, with 11:21 on the clock.

Cal State Dominguez Hills used an aggressive pressure defense to hold the Seawolves to 4-of-14 shooting from the floor the rest of the way, including 0-for-4 from behind the arc, while building leads of 23 points twice down the stretch eventually settling for the 90-68 victory.

In the game, CSUDH shot .544 from the field including a blazing .571 in the second half. After Bailey's game-high 18 points, Liang and junior point guard Tameka Blue (Watsonville, CA/Santa Cruz HS) followed with 11 apiece. Senior Crystal Maciel (Los Angeles, CA/South Gate HS) posted a double-double with 10 rebounds and 10 points off the bench.

For Sonoma State (0-5, 0-2 CCAA), Jessica Jennings led with 17 points and four rebounds off the bench. Janelle Lombardi finished with 13 points in 19 minutes of action, also off the bench.

The Toros will be in non-conference action on Friday, December 10 when they host the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. First tip in the Torodome is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
