CARSON, Calif.--Former Cal State Dominguez
Hills baseball player David Keesee (Saugus, CA/Lopez HS) has been
signed by the Fort Worth Cats as announced by the professional
baseball club located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Keesee, who played for CSUDH during the 2002
and 2003 seasons, spent last season with Windy City in the
Frontier League where he batted .226 with one homer and nine RBI
in 27 games with the Thunderbolts. Keesee appeared in games at
four different positions for Windy City including 11 games at
second base.
Keesee, 24, made his professional debut in 2003
with Kansas City in the Northern League. That year he posted a
.273 average with seven RBI in 13 games for the T-Bones.
While at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Keesee
earned Third-Team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association
honors after his senior campaign when he batted .314 with four
homeruns and 18 doubles, and knocked in 35 RBI in 47 games while
playing second base.
Legendary Wayne Terwilliger, who at 79 years of
age is the second oldest manager in baseball history behind Connie
Mack, coaches the Fort Worth Cats, who compete in the Central
Baseball League.
