ROHNERT PARK, Calif.- Cal State Dominguez Hills got 17 points from Alana Bailey to defeat Sonoma State 77-70 in overtime on Friday night in Rohnert Park. The Toros shot 83% (5-of-6) in the overtime to pull away from SSU after the Seawolves forced overtime with a last second shot in regulation.

The Toros improve to 11-6, 9-2 CCAA with the win and remain in a tie for first place in the conference. The Seawolves dropped their third in a row as they fall to 7-11, 6-5 CCAA.

In a close game that saw thirteen ties and plenty of lead changes, the Toros put themselves up by a bucket at 61-59 with :23 remaining in regulation. On the ensuing possession, an SSU missed shot was recovered for an offensive rebound by Nichola Hester, who put it back to tie the game with :04 left.

The Seawolves hung tough for the first two minutes of overtime, but the Toro offense proved too hot as they went on a 10-0 run to put the game away with under 2:00 to go.

Tameka Blue had 15 points to go along with a game-high eight assists. Brittney Blankenship almost had a double-double, finishing with eight points and ten boards.

Sonoma State received a balanced scoring attack, led by Jessica Jennings with 16. Genny Anderson and Tara Whiteside each finished with 14.

The Seawolves return to action tomorrow night when they host Cal Poly Pomona. The Toros take on San Francisco State.
