Norman Named Wilson CCAA Men's Basketball Player of Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(February 14, 2005)--Cal State Dominguez Hills guard Les Norman has been named the Wilson California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 7-13.

Norman, a senior from Lebanon, Illinois, led the Toros to victories over Cal State L.A. (Feb. 11) and Cal State Bakersfield last week (Feb. 12).

He scored a game-high 28 points and added seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 77-70 win over Cal State L.A. Norman then scored a team-high 26 points and added 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals to lead the Toros to an 83-78 win over Cal State Bakersfield. The triumph over the Roadrunners snapped a 21-game losing streak to CSUB dating back to the 1993-94 season.

For the week, Norman averaged 26.0 points on 53.5 percent shooting from the field and 83.3 percent from the foul line. He also averaged 8.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals over the two games.
