WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Cal State Dominguez
Hills guard Tameka Blue has been named the Wilson California
Collegiate Athletic Association Womens Basketball Player of
the Week for the week of February 14-20.
Blue, a junior from Watsonville, led the
CCAA-leading Toros to wins over 18th-ranked Chico State (Feb. 18)
and Cal State Stanislaus (Feb. 19) last week as CSUDH took a
two-game lead in the conference race with four to play.
She registered her first double-double of the
season with 21 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals in a
84-73 win over Chico State. Blue then tallied 19 points, 4
assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals in a 67-54 win over Stanislaus.
The wins extended CSUDHs winning streak to 7 and improved
the Toros to 16-6 overall and 14-2 in CCAA play.
For the week, Blue averaged 20.0 points, 7.0
rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals.
