NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Show To Be Televised

CARSON, Calif.--(March 3, 2005)--The 2005 NCAA Division II men's and women's basketball championship brackets will be announced exclusively in two thirty-minute selection shows on Sunday night March 6.

The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's team is vying for its first NCAA postseason appearance since the 1995-96 campaign. The Toros are currently ranked No. 5 in the NCAA West Region rankings, which will send the top-eight teams to the West Region Championship March 11-14 at a site to be announced on Sunday.

The 64-team women's bracket will be announced 7 p.m. Pacific time live from Indianapolis. You can view the selection show on DirecTV channel 644 or on the Dish Network channel 410. In addition, NCAAsports.com will stream the shows live over the Internet.

CSUDH is currently 16-9 overall and a half game out of first place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) conference with a 14-5 record. The Toros will host Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday in the Torodome to conclude the regular season schedule. First tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
