and Individual Results
DEL MAR, Calif.--(March 8, 2005)--The Cal State
Dominguez Hills men's golf team finished in 15th-place at the 55th
Southern California Interollegiate Golf Championship at The
Santaluz Club in Del Mar on Tuesday. Cal State Bakersfield's
nationally second-ranked team won the tourney, finishing 16
strokes ahead of Chico State and Hawaii-Hilo who tied for second.
Extremely tough playing conditions created
unusually high scores for a very strong field after the first
round, however third-round scoring on Tuesday's second day was
better as the weather moderated.
L.C. Honore was the top finisher for the Toros
with a 16-over 229 (77-80-72) which places him in a tie for 35th
place. Zach Zehnder is 18 strokes behind Honore with 147
(85-83-79) placing him in a 69th-place tie.. Joey Craft
(87-83-86--170), Kyle Wilson (88-87-85--260) and Matt Giamberdino
(94-98-91--283) round out the Cal State Dominguez Hills scoring.
The next outing for the golf team will be March
28-29 at the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes Invitational. |
