Perry, currently the owner of seven CSUDH
records, established five this season including runs scored in a
career in only her third year in Cardinal Red & Gold. She tied
for 12th nationally in stolen bases per game (0.82), while her 46
steals on the season is the third-highest total in the nation.
Additionally, her .407 batting average was good for 50th
nationally and also established a new CSUDH single-season mark.
In leading the Toro offense to a team and
school-record .307 batting average, Perry led the California
Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in batting average, on-base
percentage, hits and stolen bases, and finished 2nd in runs
scored. The Victorville native broke two of her own records this
season for hits and stolen bases, and tied the single-game record
for hits with five. Additionally, Perry holds the records for
stolen bases in a game and consecutive stolen bases in a season,
and tied the Toro mark for hits in a career with her senior season
on the horizon.
Earlier this month, Perry was named a 1st-team
All-Far West Region selection for the second-consecutive season,
and recently was named to the just concluded All-Far West
Tournament team. In addition, she received her second-consecutive
1st-team All-CCAA honor two days ago, giving her three All-CCAA
selections in three seasons.
The Toros, who established a combined 27 team
and individual records this year, finished the season with a
program-best 46-12 overall mark. Ousted in the 2nd round of the
NCAA Far West Regional last Friday, CSUDH ranked 10th nationally
at the end of the regular season and returns their top nine
hitters from this years record-breaking squad.
