Las Vegas, NV -- Toros true freshman Kristin
Glen (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA/Trabuco Hills HS) finished this
morning's 5k race in a time of 20:58.35, placing 22nd to lead
CSUDH to an overall 7th place finish at this morning's UNLV
Invitational.
Teammate Monica Marroquin (Los Angeles,
CA/LACC) finished just two places behind Glen in 21:17.18, while
Valarie Tucker (Downey, CA/El Camino College), who crossed the
line in 21:29.68, placed 30th to give CSUDH three top-30
finishers.
Individually, Natalie Perkins (CUCA) took the
individual title in a time of 18:23.48, while Concordia University
ran away with the team title with an average 5k race time of
19:31.26.
Other CSUDH results are: Orquidea Ramos, 54th
(23:52.71); Leslie Gonzalez, 55th (23:56); Pamela Gonzalez, 60th
(24:28.13); Brandy Ziegler, 76th (27:45.39); Dorthy Andrews, 78th
(28:18.73); Marisha Satchell, 80th (31:19.47); Granda Tereno, 81st
(32:30.34).
The Toros next compete at the CCAA
Championships, scheduled for Saturday, October 22, in San
Francisco, California.
