Carson, CA -- Junior Rachele McDonald
(Ventura, CA/Ventura College) made a repeat appearance as an
NSCAA First-Team All-Far West Region honoree, and was joined on
the First-Team by senior Elizabeth Arreola (Redondo Beach,
CA/Redondo Union HS) and on the Second-Team by sophomore Tara
Senff (Palos Verdes Estates, CA/South HS) as three Toros were
represented on the National Soccer Coaches Association of Americas
All-Far West Region Teams, it was announced earlier by the NSCAA.
McDonald, now a two-time NSCAA First-Team
All-Far West selection, led CSUDH with nine goals, 30 points and
two game-winners as the Toros finished the 2005 campaign as the
CCAA runner-up at 14-7-2, 8-4-2 CCAA. Arreola, a three-time
All-CCAA selection, earns her first-career First-Team All-Far West
honor after anchoring a Toro defense that posted six shutouts and
held opponents to just one goal in eight other contests. Senff,
who earlier this month was named to the First-Team All-CCAA squad,
tallied eight goals and 18 points in her sophomore campaign,
notching a team-high three game-winning goals.
The Toros reached the NCAA postseason for the
third-consecutive year, and will return eight starters and their
starting goalkeep in 2006. Below are the complete 2005 NSCAA
