Carson, CA - The Toros trio of B's proved too
much for Biola as Tameka Blue (Watsonville, CA/Santa Cruz HS),
Alana Bailey (Altadena, CA/John Muir HS), and Brittney
Blankenship (Palmdale, CA/Palmdale HS) scored 25, 22, and 13
points respectively to contribute in the 95-73 women's basketball

loaded, nailing their first six shots including a pair of three
pointers by Jessica Liang (Alhambra, CA/Mark Keppel HS) to
build an early 14-9 lead. Biola would cut the lead to three after

the Eagles defense and extend their lead. The Toros lead would
reach 10 on a three by Blue off a pass from Liang with a little
over 12 minutes left in the half.
The Toros offense would then hit a rough patch
that would continue over the next five minutes, only hitting two
of their next 10 shots, while Biola would use a pair of jumpers by
Megann Alberts to come within four. With the Eagles starting to
make a run, Alan Bailey would step it up, first hitting a pair of
free-throws, and then three jumpers in a row to push the Toros
lead up to eight points with a little over two minutes left. Not

straight points at the end of the half to help the Toros go into
the locker room with a 45-36 advantage.

the Toros nailing 50% of their shots and Biola shooting 44.1% from
the floor.
Blue would come out of the locker room and pick
up right where she left off, hitting a three to kick off the Toros
offense in the second half. With a conformable lead the Toros
would not let up on the Eagles, keeping the offense rolling and
slowly extending their lead. CSUDH would push their lead to 25
after an 11-0 run capped off by a three by Adiana Vega-Howard
(Covina, CA/Northview HS) with nine and a half minutes left.
CSUDH would maintain at least a 20-point lead for almost the
entire time the rest of the second half.
