CARSON, CA. - Cal State Dominguez Hills guard
Tameka Blue has been named the Wilson California Collegiate
Athletic Association Womens Basketball Player of the Week
for the week of December 26 through January 1.
Blue, a 57 senior from Watsonville,
led the Toros to a 66-49 win at Hope International on December 28.
She scored 24 points on 81.8 percent shooting (9-of-11), and added
seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
With her 24 points, Blue is now in fifth on the
CSUDH all-time career scoring list with 1,149 points, and 10th in
career scoring average with 13.2 points per game. Additionally,
she needs just 317 to become the CSUDH all-time leading scorer in
school history, an average of 17.6 over the final 18 regular
season games.
This is the second CCAA POW nod Blue has
received in her career, first garnering the honor last season
during the week of Feb. 14-20.
