For the second year in a row, the Cal State
Dominguez Hills womens basketball team has been ranked in
the first NCAA Regional rankings of the season, it was announced
earlier by the NCAA. The Toros check in at the No. 9 spot.
The Toros, who currently stand at 7-5, 2-4
CCAA, are led by senior Tameka Blue's (Watsonville, CA/Santa Cruz
HS) career-best 19.1 points per game thus far, while sophomores
Alana Bailey (Altadena, CA/John Muir HS) and Jessica Liang
(Alhambra, CA/Mark Keppel HS) round out the Toros offense with
11.8 and 9.5 points per game, respectively.
CSUDH travels to UC San Diego and Cal State San
Bernardino in key conference games this Friday and Saturday,
respectively, before returning home to face Cal Poly Pomona and
Cal State Monterey Bay the week of January 23.
Eight teams per region qualify for the
postseason, with the winner of both the California Collegiate

National Tournament, taking place from March 10-13 at a site to be
determined.
