Carson, CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills' Office
of Student Life (OSL) will be sponsoring a $10,000 Shootout
during halftime of the February 3 men's basketball game. Five
lucky fans will have a chance to make three baskets in a period of
25 seconds and hopefully, one will win $10,000.00.
Random drawings will take place at the men and
women's basketball games on February 3 when the Toros take on the
Seawolves of Sonoma State. The entire event will be filmed by the
OSL to ensure authenticity in the event one lucky fan makes all
four shots.
CSUDH students, faculty and staff can earn and
collect Shootout entry tickets from four different
locales on campus beginning Monday, January 23, with Student Life,
ASI, and athletic events providing the opportunity to collect
numerous entry tickets. Look for notices from these sites,
including the Office of Student Life, Associated Students
Incorporated, the Multi-Cultural Center and the Athletics Office,
for your chance at the $10,000 Shootout! Tickets will
be available at all CSUDH men and women's home basketball games,
and during Toro Days from January 30-February 3, 2006.
Tickets will be drawn randomly once the women's
game begins, with the final of five selections to take place right
before halftime of the men's contest. Once all five participants
are selected, all of whom must be in attendance to participate,
each will get an opportunity to make a lay-up (one dribble
minimum), a free throw and an NCAA 3-pointer, all while collecting
their own ball during the 25-second time frame. If successful,
they will win the $10,000 prize.
The following participant limitations and
restrictions apply:

event sponsors (Office of Student Life employees)
