IRVINE Visiting Cal State
Dominguez Hills took advantage of three Concordia fielding errors
in the 7th inning and posted three runs on the way to a 7-2 win,
Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Toros' RHP Matthew Hopps (3-3) got off to a
rough start, hitting the Eagles' leadoff man Daniel Robertson and

to fall behind 2-0. He settled in for the next five innings and
gave up just two more hits while striking out eight to pick up the
win.
A bloop double by Kyle Stanley tied the game at
2-2 in the 5th inning, then the Toros added five more runs over
their final three at-bats to take charge. Fred Medina plated A.J.
Gomez with a RBI-single for what proved to be the game-winner,
then came home on the second of three Concordia miscues in the
inning.
Jason Klug led the way for the Toros (11-12),
going 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored while Medina was
