Fitchett Posts Provisional Mark in 200-Meter Dash at Triton Invitational
4 x 100 relay lowers provisional mark

La Jolla, CA – Sophomore Grace Fitchett (Los Angeles, CA/Paramount HS) posted a provisional time in the 200-meter dash at Saturday's Triton Invitational held in La Jolla. She crossed the finish line in a time of 24.63 while grabbing a fifth place finish, only being beaten by runners from Division I schools, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, and University of New Mexico.

In the 4 x 100-meter relay, the combination of Shameer Dawson (Hawthorne, CA), Fitchett, Marisha Satchell (Burbank, CA/West LA College), and Brandy Zeigler (Los Angeles, CA/West L.A. City College) blew past runners from Division I schools San Diego State, Cal State Fullerton, and University of New Mexico en route to a second place finish in a time of 46.49, lowering their previous provisional mark of 46.92 set at APU Meet of Champions.

• 100-meter dash: Deborah Bowser (T22nd, 12.60), Kelly Smith (T30th, 12.98), Evelyn Graham (T30th, 12.98).
• 200-meter dash: Brandy Zeigler (12th, 25.03), Meia Tezeno (37th, 26.31), Marisha Satchell (44th, 26.67), Deborah Bowser (32nd, 25.88), Stephanie Peoples (53rd, 30.66).
• 400-meter dash: April Panteau (13th, 57.30), Shamir Dawson (29th, 1:01.05), Pamela Gonzales (39th, 1:10.41).
• 800-meter run: Kristen Glen (43rd, 2:26.64).
• 1500-meter run: Kristen Glen (31st, 5:03.01).
• 100-meter hurdles (14.65): Alexandria Anderson (7th, 14.63)
• 400-meter hurdles: Evelyn Graham (11th, 1:04.17), Kelly Smith (T20th, 1:07.46).

The Toros outdoor track & field team will next be in action Saturday, April 29, at the Steve Scott Invite, hosted by UC Irvine.
