Liz's Log and Michelle's Musings . . . Perspectives on Toro Women's Soccer

This feature on The Toros Online is a series of diary entries by women soccer's Liz Arreola and Michelle Sena that will periodically capture their final year in Cardinal & Gold for all Toro fans.

November 3, 2005 -- Michelle's Musings: Along for the Ride
Well, we are almost there! This weekend we are going to Turlock, CA, home of Cal State Stanislaus, to try and defend our CCAA Championship. Our coach left us with some words of wisdom at practice: "In the begining of the season we (the coaches) were driving the bus and you (the players) were in the back seat. We have done all that we could do to help the team. Now you are in the driver's seat and we are all along for the ride."

October 4, 2005 -- Liz's Log: Season Has Been Emotional Roller Coaster
With big wins like our OT victory over Seattle University, but upsetting losses to Seattle Pacific and UC San Diego, this season has been an emotional roller coaster so far. Our emotions are so strong because we all know that we are a great team with excellent talent, but there are some days where we don't show it.

September 14, 2005 -- Michelle's Musings: "I Feel Too Young for This To Be My Last Year"
To tell you the truth, I feel too young for this to be my last year playing collegiate soccer. In my freshman year, the girls on the team would always tell me to "play every game as if it were your last," and now knowing that it will be the last season I play some of the schools and travel to their home field, I can now grasp the concept a little better.

August 28, 2005 -- Liz's Log: The Beginning of the End for Senior Class
After all these years of hearing people say “Your college years will go by so fast, and it will be over before you know it,” I have finally realized that the time for my college experience to be over has come.
