Fifty-Three Toros Named to CSUDH Athletics’ Spring Honor Roll

Carson, CA -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women’s soccer team boasted three student-athletes with perfect 4.0 grade point averages during the spring semester, leading a contingent of 53 of CSUDH’s 164 Toros student-athletes who earned at least a 3.0 GPA ending spring 2006. Candace (Whittier, CA/Whittier HS) and Kimberly Hearn (Whittier, CA/Whittier HS), along with Janet Antunez (Santa Ana, CA/Santa Ana HS) all boasted perfect 4.0 GPAs, while softball’s Pebbel Prestwood (Hesperia, CA/CS Stanislaus) finished last semester with a 3.93 GPA, followed by women’s soccer’s Sandy Lloyd (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley HS) and track and field’s Shameer Dawson (Los Angeles, CA/El Camino College) at 3.92. Additionally, there were four other student-athletes with at least a 3.75 GPA.

Overall, women’s soccer paced CSUDH with 11 on the honor roll, followed by softball with 8, and both women’s basketball and baseball with 7 inductees each. Here is the complete list of student-athletes who made the CSUDH Athletics 2006 Spring Honor Roll.
