SAN BERNARDINO -- Five different players shared in the scoring Friday as Cal State Dominguez Hills, ranked No. 9 in the Far West Region, shut out Cal State San Bernardino, 5-0, in a CCAA women's soccer match at Coyote Premier Field.

The Toros improved to 7-7-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the CCAA while the Coyotes dropped to 1-12-1 overall and 0-10-1 in the CCAA.

Dominguez Hills outshot the Coyotes 17-8 but Toros goalkeeper Ashley De Alejandro was required to save only two tries on goal.

Jackie Chavez opened the scoring for the Toros with a shot into the upper net off a through ball from Corrie Hirokawa just 6:44 into the match. Hirokawa then scored for the Toros in the 26th minute off an assist from Natalie Moreno.

The Coyotes changed goalkeepers at the half but Shawna Rei-Kam could not prevent the Toros from tacking on three goals after Laura Lyons had yielded the first two.

Rachele McDonald scored her team-leading ninth goal in the 50th minute and Kristin Boskovich made it 4-0 in the 69th minute with a shot past Kam from a through ball delivered by Hirokawa.

Renee Haynes completed the scoring with an 18-yard shot in the 77th minute off a pass from Boskovich.

The Coyotes' winless streak was extended to 13 matches as they prepare to face Far West Region No.1 UC San Diego on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at home.
