Okuma's Bio
I cant believe how fast time went by. Now
I understand the saying, Time is money. I clearly
remember how I started out as a member of the Toros. I have spent
almost two years here, and my career is almost over. I will never
forget the experience, time, and people during my time here. There
are people I would like to thank for always supporting me.
Firstly, I would like to thank all of the
coaching staff. Joe, Tuttle, Sean, Drew, Kevin, Nathan, and Kunze.
You guys are ones who have sacrificed a lot for us, and I really
appreciate what you guys have done for us.
Coach Joe, you always tell us that we have a
chance to be great everyday, which really inspires me. Coach
Tuttle, you are the one who always makes me feel like a part of
this team. I have learned from you how important family is. Coach
Sean, I really respect you as a coach and a player. You are the
best player I have ever seen.
Next, I would like to thank all of my
teammates. I really thank you guys for always pushing me and
making me a better player. Sometimes we had our fights, but we
always got it over together. Practice, double days, games, road
trips, dinner and initiation, the time I have spent with you guys
is very irreplaceable for me.
To the seniors, Kyle, LJ, Jesse and Wilmer. I
wish you guys the best of luck.
Finally, I would like to thank my family who
always supports me and who let me study abroad. It has been five
years since I came to this country myself. Sometimes I had a
feeling of homesickness because of the different language, culture
and people. But, I have made it through because of you guys
help. Even though I cant have this moment with you guys, I
feel like you guys are next to me. I also would like to thank my
roommate for coming to watch games and always helping me up. My
life here wouldnt be so successful if it werent for
your help.
I will have to go back to Japan after my
graduation due to the immigration law and I dont know how
much longer I can be with you guys.
But, I will remember my years at Dominguez
Hills for the rest of my life.
