Graham Named Brine/CCAA Men's Soccer Player of Week
Midfielder's three goals over final two games earned senior first CCAA POW nod of career

Carson, CA -- Senior midfielder Jesse Graham (San Diego, CA/Pt. Loma HS) has been named the Brine California Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of October 16-22, it was announced earlier by the CCAA office.

Graham, a senior from San Diego, tallied three goals on seven shots as he led the Toros to two must-win games on the road, earning CSUDH the 4th and final berth in the CCAA Men’s Soccer Championship tournament which is set to begin on Friday, October 27.

In Friday’s win over Cal State Monterey Bay, Graham scored the game-winning goal with a blast through the hands of the CSUMB goalkeeper. Two days later, he scored twice on three shots to notch his first multi-goal game this season as CSUDH defeated San Francisco State 3-1.

A two-time All-CCAA selection with this year’s honors set to be announced on Thursday, October 26, this is the first Player of the Week honor for Graham, who leads the Toros with seven goals, five assists and three game-winning goals.

CSUDH faces defending CCAA Champion Sonoma State in the second men’s semifinal on Friday at 1:30 pm, taking place in La Jolla, California, on the campus of host UC San Diego.
