Oroville, CA - The CSUDH Cross Country team
finished the 2006 season at the NCAA D-II West Regional at the
Lake Oroville Forebay Aquatics Center, hosted by Chico State. The
6k run featured 125 competitors from 20 of the top schools in the
West Region.
Seattle Pacific freshman standout Jessica
Pixler won the race, crossing the finish line in a time of
20:56.10, while cross town rival Cal State L.A. took the team
title with an average time of 21:53.26, three points ahead of
Seattle Pacific.
Toro senior Valarie Tucker (Downey, CA/El
Camino) bid farewell to her collegiate career as the Toros top
finisher, a feat she has accomplished in every meet this season.
Tucker would finish the 6k race in a time of 25:52.21.
Sophomore Kelly Coral (Long Beach,
CA/Cerritos JC) would follow Tucker, posting a time of
27:05.20, while freshman Brittany Masai (Torrance, CA/West
High) was just a few steps behind with a time of 27:34.69. |
