Flagstaff, AZ - Hurdles specialist Grace
Fitchett (Los Angeles, CA/Paramount HS) continued to lower her
60-meter hurdles time, blazing down the track in a time of 8.57 in
the prelims, eclipsing the automatic qualifying time for the NCAA
D-II Indoor Track & Field Championships of 8.65.
Senior Alexandria Anderson (Moreno Valley,
CA/Cal State L.A.) would follow Fitchett in the 60-meter
hurdles with a best time of 8.96 in her prelims, giving her a
provisional qualifying time, and then followed that performance
with a 5th place finish in the finals in a time of 8.98.
Deborah Bowser (Long Beach, CA/Cerritos
College) would grab a 2nd place finish in the 200-meter dash
with a time of 25.81.

The Toros will next be in action Saturday,
February 10, when they travel back to Seattle for the Husky
Classic, hosted by the University of Washington.
