Carson, CA -- A three-person crew from Cox Communications, Inc. made its first foray onto the Cal State Dominguez Hills campus last week, interviewing the coaches and players from the women’s basketball team for its “Meet the Team” segment which is scheduled to air on February 22.

A camera man, producer and host, from the nearby Torrance branch, arrived to campus at approximately 3:00 pm, and began interview the players first, followed by the coaches. With producer Carlos Rivera manning the camera, host Kirran Moss, who actually played against head coach Van Girard’s Toros as a member of the Cal State L.A. women’s basketball team in 2002, conducting the interviews, and Cox Communications crew member and former CSUDH baseball player Danny Jacobs aiding both personnel, the outing lasted approximately 2 hours, with the final filmed segments occurring on the sidelines of practice, and outside the Hughes Athletics Center.

As the fourth-largest cable provider in the nation, Cox Communications Inc. is noted for its high-capacity, reliable broadband delivery network. With more than 6 million customers, including a 30,000-person viewership in the Palos Verdes/San Pedro areas and a 400,000-person viewership in Orange County, over 20,000 employees and a firm commitment to education, the Cox team is widely regarded as the best in the cable industry, having earned multiple distinctions in customer satisfaction and company strategy including the 2006 J.D. Power and Associates' residential cable/satellite TV customer satisfaction study.

“Meet the Team,” featuring the Toros women’s basketball team, is scheduled to air this Thursday at 7:00 pm on Cox’s Channel 3 in the Palos Verdes / San Pedro areas, and as part of Orange County’s “Video on Demand,” which can be found on Channel 1.
