CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills Athletics has confirmed its 2007
Toros Scholarship Golf Classic for Friday, June 1, at the regal
Meadowlark Golf Club, located in Huntington Beach, California.
This annual event, which serves as one of two major fundraisers
for the Toros athletics program and is presented by bp Carson
Refinery, welcomes Honorary Chairman Walter Neil, the External
Affairs Manager of British Petroleum - Carson Refinery.
The Classic looks to sell the event out for the
second-consecutive year, with all proceeds from the Golf Classic
going towards student-athlete scholarships.
The day begins with a 6:30 a.m. registration
and continental breakfast, followed by a 7:00 a.m. shotgun start.
The four-person best-ball scramble will include contests for
closest to the pin and the longest drive, along with many other
surprises for the days participants.
Lunch precedes the live auction and will be
served immediately following the round of golf and ensuing silent
auction, with both auctions consisting of many one-of-a-kind
items. Additionally, opportunity drawings will take place
throughout the afternoon featuring CSUDH merchandise, apparel and
other valuable prizes.
There are only a handful of foursomes left in
the tournament, so be sure to reserve your spot today by
downloading the information brochure/entry form and submitting it
to the Athletics Department. The link to the entry form can be
found above.
Sponsorship packages also are available to help
fund student-athlete scholarships for the coming years.
The deadline for entry fees, participants and
sponsorships for the 2007 Golf Classic is Monday, May 14, and
should be sent to the Cal State Dominguez Hills Athletics
Department.
