BFSA CAREER CLOSET

On April 23, 2010, the Black Faculty & Staff Association is holding a “Career Closet” event on campus with the Office of Student Life and the Center for Service Learning, Internships and Civic Engagement (SLICE). The purpose of this event is to provide business attire to students and local residents who are struggling financially and need something appropriate to wear to a job interview or during those first few days of work.

To create our “Career Closet,” we will transform a room on the lower level of the Loker Student Union into one huge walk-in closet in which students and local residents will be invited to “shop” for a free outfit.

We are very excited about this event, but we need your help.

If you have any business garments (suits, slacks, pants, shirts, skirts, blouses, ties, or dresses) that you no longer want or need, BFSA would love to have them.  Donations are being collected now through the first week of April 2010 in the Office of Student Life, LSU 111.

Many have been hit hard by the downturn in the economy.  With your help, we know the “Career Closet” will be a huge success!  Please tell a friend!
