In addition to its regularly scheduled foreign
language courses
in French, Japanese and Spanish (see separate sections of this catalog), the
Department of Foreign Languages provides the opportunity for students to
undertake individual study and/or credit by examination in a foreign language
not regularly offered on campus. For

Course Offerings
The credit value for each course in semester units is indicated for each term by a number in parentheses following the title. Departments may indicate the term in which they expect to offer the course by the use of: “F” (fall), “S” (spring) or “EOY” (every other year).
FLG 294 Independent Study in Foreign Languages I (3) FS.
Prerequisites: Consent of instructor and chair of Foreign Languages.
Beginning/intermediate
individual study and or credit by examination in a foreign language not
regularly offered on campus.
Arrangements must be made in advance of registration. Repeatable course.
