This is Not to Say
tangles of vermicelli on the top shelf and the sour celerystalks back
to back like paolo & francesca nothing else in the house -- you come
back from work early while I sleep a thousand kilometers away, pull back
one strand of hair behind your ear slowly not really seeing anything but that
winter's here and the icebox is oozing freon and needs washing -- this is not to
say you want anything because daybreak is here and the bed warming
in the oblique sun not to mention they're calling for snow this morning
a foot or so for every road in your city |
