New Undergraduates

New Student Orientation (NSO) programs are provided fifteen times a year to incoming, admitted freshman and transfer students. A positive and well-balanced orientation program is integral to a student's ability to transition smoothly from high school and other colleges and universities to Dominguez Hills. CSUDH Orientation information is provided by the University Advising Center, the Admissions Office, Records and Registration, Financial Aid Office, Office of Student Support Services, the Veteran Student Programs Office, International Student Programs, and Student Life.

Students have the opportunity to register for classes online via MyCSUDH at all NSO programs as long as academic advising has been received prior to or as part of the NSO. Student ID cards are provided as well to minimize the need for students to stand in line during the first days of classes. NSO at Dominguez Hills is both welcoming and a great benefit to our new students. Contact the Office of Student Life by phone at (310) 243-2081 for more information about any and all CSUDH undergraduate New Student Orientation programs.  You may also want to visit our Orientation website at

Veterans Orientation Programs

CSUDH is proud to offer New Student Orientation programs with specific workshops just for veterans and dependent children of veterans each summer.  Contact the Veteran Student Programs Office via phone at (310) 243-3643 for more information about Veterans' New Student Orientation programs or visit our website at

International Student Orientation Programs

All newly admitted international students must attend a mandatory International Student Orientation Program.  Students planning to attend the University in the fall of 2013 should expect to receive an invitation to attend a summertime International Student Orientation program.  Contact International Student Services at (310) 243-2519 for more information.
