The new Student Services Center in the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences (NBS) supports several long term goals of the University: improving the recruitment, academic advisement, retention, and graduation rates of students in NBS majors.  Gateways is actively pursuing these goals by funding a year-round office to which students can  go  for information  and advisement in the  college.

Since its inception during the summer of  2005, the center has been visited by over 230 students.  An advisor is available to assist students with class scheduling, lower division transfer of credits, course prerequisites, and degree completion requirements.  The office also assists students by lifting advisement holds, revising advisement forms, and completing graduation applications.

The friendly staff in the Student Services Center is eager to help students along the path to successful completion of their college degrees.  The center is located on the fifth floor of the Library Building, Room C 514.  NBS students with any questions about academic advisement are seen by appointment.  Phone counseling is also available.  Please come in or call the center at (310) 243-2617 if you have any questions.
