Project Goals

1. Increased completion rates in remedial mathematics courses.
2. Increased completion rates in introductory mathematics and science courses.
3. Increased retention rates in mathematics-science-technology majors.
4. Increased graduation rates in mathematic-science-technology majors.
5. Increased transfer rates between Cerritos College and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
6. Increased placement of graduates in scientific/technical graduate programs and careers.

Our Seven Initiatives

1. Expansion of Tutoring Services for remedial and introductory level mathematics and science courses.
2. Expansion of Computer Assisted Learning capabilities in remedial and introductory mathematics and science.
3. Development of Student Workshops for improving remedial and introductory level math-science skills.
4. Development of Faculty Workshops for improving remedial and introductory level math-science course instruction.
5. Enhancement of the First Year Experience Course, University 101, and linked courses.
6. Establishment of an Advisement Center in the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences.
7. Construction of “Roadmaps” to Graduation for mathematics-science-technology majors.
