Welcome College of Education TORO!

It is about time we bring you back home. We want to get to know you and find out what you have been doing since you left CSUDH, College of Education (COE).

As a COE Alumnus you are a partner with the university and fellow alumni who are making positive contributions which impact communities throughout our nation and the world.  COE alumni are financially ambitious, professionally connected and well known in the community.

The financial news we hear in California almost every day is startling and its impact on education is especially devastating. College enrollment is at a record low and is not increasing. This is not good at a time when higher education has never been more important. The College of Education has had to cut this year’s budget and programs while still working to maintain the quality education as you knew it to be when you walked the halls of CSUDH. The fiscal impact for next year is yet to be determined. We are all busy making recruitment plans now for the summer and the fall.

Despite these obstacles, The College of Education continues to forge ahead by providing a superb education to our students. How do we do it?

  • Our committed professors and teachers who accept additional students into classes already filled to capacity.
  • Our financial resources are being managed carefully and creatively.
  • Our focus is placed on high impact educational priorities coupled with reduced funding of non-urgent requirements
  • The support from our alumni and our friends in the community is strong and growing.

We are continually amazed at the number of people we meet throughout the South Bay who have had their lives changed by their experience at California State University, Dominguez Hills’ College of Education. We watch proudly as students transfer to and graduate from our four year- institution, often as the first in their family to earn a degree. We like hearing these stories.

The students at CSUDH’S College of Education are your neighbors and mine, our future employees, teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologist and our future CEO’s,  please join us in supporting our students. TORO, you are the best marketing tool we have.  We need you to activate your alumni standing with the university.  Alumni support will help us to continue the outstanding work we do in the College of Education.

Please complete the information sheet below and /or submit on the web site and return in the envelope provided as we plan to communicate with you quite often.  The professional expertise and the monetary support you bring to the campus programs will make a difference to students today and tomorrow and the future.  It is time!  We need our Alumni.

We look forward to reconnecting with you. For more information, please contact dean's office at 310 243-3510 or fax us at 310 243-3518. GO COE TOROS!
