The Urban School Leaders Program is now in its 4th and final year, having prepared over 200 Tier I Educational Administration students and continuing to assist alumni with job placement.

APPLICATIONS NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED

 

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:

Aspiring Leaders - Group 1 (G1) - Tier I: Educators without an administrative credential earn a preliminary services credential w/option to obtain a Master of Arts degree.

Aspiring Leaders - Group 2 (G2) - USL Alumni: USL Aspiring Leader Tier I alumni apply to continue their professional development and obtain job placement assistance.

Principal's Academy - Group 3 (G3): Principals at LAUSD local school districts where Aspiring Leaders G2 currently work are eligible to become part of this professional development group.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

Urban School Leaders (USL) is an innovative urban leadership program with a clear focus: preparing outstanding educators for exemplary administrative careers in high-needs schools of Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Local Districts 5,6,7, and 8 (now East and South LAUSD Service Center areas).

PARTNERSHIPS:

The USL program is made possible through a partnership of the following:

•CSUDH Educational Administration Program

•Associated Administrators of Los Angeles

•LAUSD, Local Districts 5, 6, 7, and 8

STIPEND:
