Pre-Teaching Program – Single Subject Credential
The
Single Subject Pre-Teaching Program is designed for
students who plan to enter the Single Subject Credential
Program, but have not yet passed CSET. This is a
one-semester program that includes up to 13 units of
credential coursework.
Application deadlines:
Summer

Admission Requirements:

Application to the university, with official
transcripts and $55.00 fee

Application to the Single Subject Pre-Teaching
Program*, including
-
Passing CBEST scores
-
Transcripts (may be
unofficial), with GPA of 2.67 overall, or 2.75
in last 60 units

Certificate of
Clearance, emergency or substitute permit, or
pre-intern certificate
-
TB test results,
emergency or substitute permit, or pre-intern
certificate
-
Evidence of having
met Constitution requirement

$50.00 fee

After successfully
completing the Pre-Teaching Program, AND passing the
CSET, you will automatically be accepted into the Single
Subject Credential Program.
