Pre-Teaching
Program – Single Subject Credential
The Single Subject
Pre-Teaching Program is designed for
students who plan to enter the Single
Subject Credential Program, but have not
yet passed CSET. This is a one-semester
program that allows students to complete
up to 12 units of course work during
Phase I.
Application
deadlines:
- Summer – Last Friday of March
- Fall – April 1
- Spring – October 1
*NOTE: Deadline dates are subject to
change
Admission Requirements:
- • Application to the university
www.csumentor.edu , with
official transcripts and $55.00 fee
- • Application to the Single
Subject Pre-Teaching Program*,
including
- Passing CBEST scores
- Copy of the receipt showing
you are scheduled to take the
CSET, copy of passing CSET
scores or the original letter
from your subject area stating
you have completed subject
matter competency
- Official transcripts of all
college course history with
degree posted
- Overall GPA of 2.67 or 2.75
in last 60 units
- Certificate of Clearance or
a copy of an emergency or
substitute permit, or pre-intern
certificate
- TB test results (no more
than 6 months from program
application deadline)
- Evidence of having met U. S.
Constitution requirement
- $50.00 fee
After successfully passing the CSET,
and providing a copy of your passing
scores to TED you will be moved into the
Single Subject Teacher Credential
