Welcome to the Transition to Teaching Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills!!

Are you a Mathematics and Science major?  Or do you have a background in these subject areas?

If you are as passionate about teaching as we are, then this is the program for you!

The Transition to Teaching Program is designed to recruit (recent graduates or mid-career professionals), prepare, support (through coaching) and retain highly qualified mathematics and science teachers in high need local districts in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the Lynwood Unified School District (LUSD).

In less than a year, program participants will earn a preliminary credential while teaching as university interns in middle schools or high schools in LAUSD local districts 6, 7 and 8 or LUSD.  In addition, our program participants will enjoy the benefits of academic, coaching, placement and financial support.

Do you have what it takes? Attend one of our Information Sessions.

The Transition to Teaching Team is committed to helping you on your path to becoming a teacher!!
