What is the
Transition to Teaching
Program?
The Transition to
Teaching Program is a federally
funded program by the U.S.
Department of Education – Office
of Improvement and Innovation
which seeks to recruit recent
college graduates and mid-career
professionals. CSUDH was
awarded this multi-million
dollar grant in 2004 and 2006. Our
proposal was chosen as a model
proposal in the nation and
through this grant we are able
to offer students an alternative
path towards teacher
certification.
-
What are the
advantages of this program
versus other programs?
The Transition to
Teaching Program offers an
accelerated preliminary

participants, LAUSD/LUSD job
placement and tuition
reimbursement.
