What do you want to teach?  English, Math, or Science?  This content knowledge exam tests you on your knowledge of your specific content area.

*      Single Subject Matter Competency Waiver in Mathematics

Do you think you qualify for the subject matter waiver in mathematics, so you do not have to take the CSET?  If you are a math major or have taken a majority of math courses, you should consider this option.  Go to the math department at CSUDH and have your transcripts evaluated.

Do you have a Bachelor’s degree from a foreign country?  If so, you need to get your transcripts evaluated by an accredited agency.

If you did not take an introductory government or political science class, you might have to take the US Constitution exam.  CSUDH offers it periodically, so call and find out when it is offered next.
