What's Needed to Participate
Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. The Application for Graduation, available in the Office of Admissions and Records or on-line http://www.csudh.edu/studentaffairs/admissionsrecords/graduation.shtml, should be taken to the Cashier’s Office with the payment during the announced filing periods. Please direct all questions regarding graduation procedures to the Graduation Unit of the Office of Records and Registration.
Additionally, all students who have earned degrees during the summer of 2008, fall 2008 semesters, or who is a candidate for a degree in spring 2009 are invited to participate in the Commencement Ceremony on:
- Thursday, May 21, 2009 – Graduate & Hooding Ceremony for Master students
- Friday, May 22, 2009 – Undergraduate Ceremony for Baccalaureate students
Participation is a matter of choice. It is not required in order to receive your degree. Guest tickets are not required. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
Degree candidates wishing to participate in the spring Commencement Exercises must file the Commencement Participation Form with the Office of Event Scheduling and Planning no later than April 15, 2009. If the deadline date should fall on a weekend or holiday, the deadline will be by 5:00 p.m. on the previous working day. The Commencement Participation Form is available online at http://advising.csudh.edu/oesp/login.aspx.
