Commencement Graduate Commencement and Hooding Ceremony – Thursday, May 21, 2009
The Graduate Commencement and Hooding Ceremony will be broadcast live on cable television and the Internet. The broadcast from the Home Depot Center will begin at 7:00 PM. The ceremony will be carried by Channel 6 in the South Bay. The ceremony will also be webcast on the Internet. Internet viewers can log on at http://dhtv1.csudh.edu/redirect/commencement.htm
Undergraduate Commencement – Friday, May 22, 2009
The Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be broadcast live on cable television and the Internet. The broadcast from the Home Depot Center will begin at 8:00 AM. The ceremony will be carried by Channel 36 in the City of Los Angeles and Channel 6 in the South Bay. The ceremony will also be webcast on the Internet. Internet viewers can log on at http://dhtv1.csudh.edu/redirect/commencement.htm
Directions for viewing the webcast:
Internet viewers will need a computer (PC or MAC), at least 256MB RAM Windows 2000 or Windows XP (OS 9.x or OS X for MAC), a 56K modem (DSL or a cable modem is preferred), Windows Media Player 9 or better and Shockwave. Viewers can download all of the software and test their computers by clicking on Online-TV Demo button in the left menu.
AOL subscribers cannot use their AOL browser to view the live webcasts or the archived videos. AOL subscribers must minimize their AOL window after they connect to the Internet and use Internet Explorer 7.0 or better to access the live webcast or archived video.
If you are watching from school or work you may have to ask your IT Department to open a port in the firewall for you to view the streaming video. If you have a firewall on your computer or if your virus protection software set on high you will have to disable the software while you are viewing the live webcast or the archived video. You may also need turn off your popup blocker.
