Dr. Sharon Sharp is Professor of Film, Television and Media in the Communications Department. Her research interests include television studies, science fiction studies, and human-animal studies. Dr. Sharp has published on television, genre, and gender and is currently working on a project on nonhuman animals and media. Before completing her Ph.D., she worked in transmedia storytelling at Cartoon Network. She teaches courses such as genre analysis, television history, history of film, media and society and media industries, among others.
