Dr. Mayfield has practiced as an occupational therapist in a wide variety of settings including physical rehabilitation, hand therapy, home health and psychiatric facilities. She is also co-founder of Access Life International, a non-profit corporation that aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities throughout the developing world through projects, such as providing mobility aids and water collection/filtration systems to developing communities.
