BIO
Dr. Holguin’s clinical expertise dervies from having served as the senior clinician for neurorehabilitation at St. Jude’s regional brain injury rehabilitation center. He has worked extensively with indiviuals who have experienced head injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, multitrauma, orthodepic conditions, and other medically complex conditions.
As a former member of the research team for the University of Southern California Well-Elderly 2 randomized clinical trial, Dr. Holguin contributed to the analysis and interpretation of findings, and is a co-author on several upcoming publications. His research interests in this area include successful aging, and the interrelated nature of well-being and participation in meaningful activity.
Dr. Holguin’s clinical interests include building the capacity of occupational therapists to address cognitive, motor, and visual-perceptual issues associated with neurological dysfunction.
OTHER
Dr. Holguin enjoys spending time with his wife, Yvette, and their baby boy, Garvey. He also devotes time to his role as a martial arts instructor, and has over 25 years of training in Dan Inosanto’s curriculum.
