Locally recognized. Nationally accredited.
The School of Education at California State University Dominguez Hills is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), www.ncate.org. This accreditation covers the preliminary and professional clear credential programs and the MA programs at CSUDH. However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.
Following the November 2011 accreditation site visit by NCATE and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, accreditation is continued for all programs for two years. In Fall 2013, a focused visit on Standard 2 will take place. Outcomes of that visit may include continued accreditation or revocation of accreditation. The School of Education fully expects to have its ongoing accreditation confirmed during the re-visit in Fall 2013.
As required by Title II (Sections 205 through 208) of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (PL 110-315), institutions with teacher preparation programs prepare an annual report for Congress and the public on the preparation of their teachers. The annual reports are provided below:
- Multiple Subject, Single Subject, and Special Education Student Teaching Program Completers - AY2010-2011 Title II Report
- Multiple Subject, Single Subject, and Special Education University Intern Program Completers - AY2010-2011 Title II Report
The School of Education is accredited at the national level by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and at the state level by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
