On behalf of the students, faculty, staff, administration and the surrounding community of California State University, Dominguez Hills, we welcome you to share your educational endeavors in Los Angeles. The United States is a nation of immigrants, and this university continues that tradition by bringing students to campus who are citizens of other countries- you are important to the life of the university. THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE (ISSO)

The International Student Services Office (ISSO) is prepared to answer your questions. We provide referrals for academic and personal advising, and help with United States government forms and regulations. Primarily, we are here for you, even if that is just to provide a place to stop-by and chat.

Your first year in a new country and university probably will be the most difficult. The International Student Services staff can not solve your problems, but we can assist you in solving them yourself. The staff strives to give information and understanding so that you can better handle your responsibilities and reduce your possible worries. Any matter that you discuss with us will remain absolutely confidential.

The ISSO maintains certain records on international students such as: copies of immigration paperwork; passport information; your current address and health insurance coverage; record of practical training permission and on-campus employment. These records are for your protection in validating your lawful status in the United States. Helping you maintain your US Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) F-1 International Student Visa status is one of our highest priorities.
