Sarah Cashmore

Sarah Cashmore has been dancing for over 30 years.  Originally from San Diego she grew up studying ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, musical theatre and other forms.  She received her B.A. in Dance from San Jose State University (SJSU) with a minor in Kinesiology, and then began professional work in the bay area.  Sarah continued her professional work in Los Angeles and stumbled upon Egyptian Cabaret belly dance, joining a top professional company that performed on a weekly basis at high end private events, restaurants, and professional concerts with Middle Eastern artists.  She received her M.F.A in Dance from the University of California, Irvine.  Currently she teaches and choreographs at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), Fullerton College, Long Beach City College and Strong Dance Studios.  Classes include dance lecture and theory as well as technique such as ballet, modern, tap, and middle eastern.  She is also on the Board of Directors for the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Baja region.  She is also a member of the contemporary dance company,  Delineation.
