International Students Use Professional Skills To Ease Conflicts in Africa and Middle East

A contingent of international students in the Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebulding program at California State University, Dominguez Hills recently authored a paper that was presented at the annual conference of the Peace and Justice Studies Association held last month at Portland State University. Six NCRP students – George Mubunga, Chinedu Bob Ezeh, Daniel Karanja, Richard Ndi Tanto, Neba Mbonifor and Ali Anan – and associate professor Nancy Erbe, produced “Planting Seeds Critical to Building Cultures of Peace in Africa and the Middle East” based on the experiences of its authors in resolving conflicts in their native countries.

On Sept. 18, the campus community at California State University, Dominguez Hills gathered to unveil the Loker Student Union (LSU) Donor Wall. Many who contributed to both the original campaign begun in 1968 to build a student union and to the $34.3 million expansion that was completed in 2007 were present.
