Susan-Jeanie Compton, Dawn Parrish and I would like to set up a lunch hour discussion group that would be inclusive of Corrections, Criminology and Law and Social Change. People coming would be able to share information, those who have the classes prior - can help those in classes now, discussions could open up on a personal basis. The internet is nice and quick - but I like to talk face to face. We can share ideas, enjoy lunch and interact with fellow classmates. The room would be large enough that each class could have it's own area or we could all group together to bring a particular issue to the forefront. Jeanie, Dawn and I like the idea of dialogue exchange of a verbal nature - there are just some things you don't get unless you can talk them out and get others' opinions.
We were thinking Wednesdays, the noon hour - in room Moln 109. What do you think?

sounds wonderful. how often we forget the simple, nontechnological ways of doing things. face to face dialogue. what a neat idea! will there be certain issues, themes or topics to focus on? is this a regular event or a one time only?i do need to check to see if we can have access to that room.
