These short statements of my perception of your learning are what grew from my review of all the records and our experiences in class. In a cooperative learning world, in which our objective is to help each other gain critical insights, what should matter, instead of "grades" is such a report. Learning that I can tell you I have seen, either directly or through some of your work, and that you can confirm. That is learning accountability.
As we gain skill at this, a paragraph of recommendation should be your goal for the end of each course, each semester. If you were to realize that this is how I will end the course, and you were to want the best possible recommendation of your learning, we could interactively check our respective records all semester, and the recommendations could be detailed and helpful to all who want to know about your learning.

I am glad that we had the site sufficiently well set up to allow you to get around your job constraints for this course. And I am impressed that you managed to stay in contact with your group. I would have liked to have you stay more directly in contact with me, but that is a glitch we'll work out in the next semester or so. You had more face-to-face contact with your group than with me. That goes counter to our tradition and we will all need to think on how to solve that. I would appreciate your reactions to and feelings about the freedom this allowed you to rearrange your schedule, and the disadvantages you feel from the loss of some of that face-to-face contact.
I appreciated that you came to see me to check on my sense of comfort with your work. Unfortunately, I misunderstood your question on e-mails. I thought you had been sending them from your own address, when in fact they were under different addresses. It took having my final records up to recognize that. Again, minor glitches we need to correct.
Particularly in this agencies class your group spaced their work out over the whole semester and showed solid consistency. You also did a good job, as a group, of answering in your own words, and concisely. That was good.
Unfortunately, the whole pack of you sat way in the back of the classroom, and didn't take me seriously about face-to-face interaction until the last month or so of classes. Once you realized I really meant that I wanted and needed to know you, you did a good job of cooperating with that by stopping by my office so frequently. Thank you.
