Not too happy right now, so will try to continue on the path that I was Passionately on. Please bear with me. I was so moved by Michaels' poem, it said it all. For my mid-term, I will see if you like this, as opposed to what I thought I might do. It truly came from thinking so hard on Un-Answerability. Just like you said in class today, I cannot put this in script form, but will do my best for you to understand it, in the same way, Michael did his poem and you had to post it without all the "correct, indentations", who reallly gives a damn, unless you are in an English class"? SCRIPT---"Non-Answerability"--A Child to his/her Father---"Because I said So"-----------------------Morning: "Hi daddy, what are we going to do today'? "Quiet"!!!! "I'm on the phone". "Daddy", tug--tug--on his pants, "what are we going to do today"? "Will you please shut-up", "I just got off the phone, and I have work to do". "Daddy, are we going to do something today"? "Get lost kid, I need to take care of business". "Sorry daddy, I won't bother you again". NIGHT---"Hi daddy, how was your day"? "Don't ask". "Daddy, can I have a friend over tomorrow"?--------------"Daddy, can you hear me, daddy do you see me, daddy do you know I'm here right now"? "Go away"!,"I have work to do". "Goodnight daddy". "I won't bother you again". Morning: "Bye dad". "Where are you going"? Nowhere, I won't bother you again". This kind of Un-Answerability affects us all in different degrees. Please, be aware of this, and BE A GOOD LISTENER. Daddy died, never hearing his/her plea. The child, committed suicide, never asking to be heard again. Peace, Marlene
